Thrown onto a desolate island, you find yourself in a nightmarish game where you are the prey. The atmosphere reeks of death, a suffocating stench that clings to your senses and fills your internal thoughts with dread. Every rustle in the underbrush, every whisper of the wind, seems like a predator’s approach, pushing you further into the abyss of psychosis. Survival becomes a desperate, all-consuming obsession, but the island’s shadows seem to close in tighter with each passing moment. This is the story of Lotus Island.
Guido Camino, aka Forest on Stasys has been on a continuous rise since his humble beginnings back in 2020 with his first release on his label, Danza Nativa, titled The Initiation. Which included a remix from the hypnotic techno master himself, Claudio PRC.
Since then, he has had tracks out on Lowless, Navigare Audio, Fur:ther Sessions, Harmony Rec., and others, cementing his name as one of the key players in psychedelic techno.
On his latest release off space.lab, Forest on Stasys guides us into darkness of the island from the moment the needle drops. The incessant buzz of insects’ swarms around your head, their noise a maddening symphony that frays your nerves. As the days blur into nights, paranoia grips you, and the boundaries between reality and hallucination dissolve.
